We have been busy these last few months!
5th graders completed beautiful Zen Owls. Then they discovered nature in the the unit "Falling Leaves". Observational drawing was used to draw leaves and depict them falling into the composition. Watercolor techniques were used to display warm and cool color schemes.
4th grade was busy creating "Pet Portraits"! They learned how to draw cats and dogs, then integrated patterns within the bodies. Heather Galler was our contemporary art exemplar!
3rd Grade discovered landscape painting. Did you know that an effective landscape painting has a foreground, middle ground and background? Third grade surely does. Come see the beautiful landscapes hanging in the school.
2nd grade completed a highly organized art print of an owl. You wouldn't believe they learned two different ways to print in one artwork! They worked so hard on their printmaking activity.
1st Grade finished observation Pumpkin Painting! They mixed various hues of orange for the segments of pumpkins. They couldn't believe how realistic they turned out! Seeing is Believing!
Kindergarten completed colorful tube sculptures and Toy Robots. Please look for these incredible artworks coming home soon!
